Location
The Tavronitis Maisonnettes are on the north-eastern slope of a hill 800 meters south of the village center, just below the hill's summit.
Due to the beautiful views both of the bay of Hania and the mountain massif of the "Lefka Ori", many private holiday villas and apartment facilities have been built during recent years in the neighbourhood and down the slope.

There are however no shops at all in the immediate neighbourhood. The nearest supermarkets, restaurants and tavernas are in the village center: 200 meters down the slope, and then another 700 meters northwards along the country road from Paleohora.

|
The public bus from Kolymbari to Hania stops in Tavronitis as well, during daytime every 30 minutes.
A wider supply can be found at Kolymbari (5 kms), in Maleme (2 kms) and in the district capital of  Hania (22 kms).
Hania airport is 39 kms away, Iraklion airport 167 kms. With respect to the National Road's winding character, transfer durations from and to the airports must not be underestimated.
