Sport and entertainment
On the beaches along the bay of  Hania between Kolymbari and the district capital, there are almost all types of watersports on offer.
Mainly the neighbouring village of Maleme in the East (2 kms) is appointed to the needs of tourism.
During the tourism season, there is also an extensive nightlife there as well as in the villages of Platanias (9 kms) and Aghia Marina (11 km), and all-year by the old port and in the Venetian old town of Hania.
